Mom drove 120 miles so I could meet these sheep. At first I wasn't sure what the lady there wanted me to do. It was interesting and smelled good. I tried to sample the sheep poo but she waggled her white cane at me. Then I decided to just relax and do what felt good...
The lady at the farm said I had nice natural instinct and was going to be fast. It was fun but over before I really got going.
So, I learned that I am a Shepherd...a Mini Australian Shepherd!
I slept all the way home in the car.
Bandit and his mom liked this picture so we wanted to share it with all of you. We like to post pictures of Grandma C. Most of her extended family is in the "lower 48". She is a very sweet woman and is turning 90 in July! She lives here with us. I especially enjoy mealtime with her, I am her little vacuum : )
I had a very interesting and fun day! It all started outwith three presents left on the floor by the cats I presume. Must have been a busy morning for them!
Then mom took me to the Horse Festival down the road and I got to see horses! Whoa, they are big like moose but more friendly.
Missed a great photo op when I went into the Miniature donkey pen. Three little donkeys rushed over and sniffed me up and down and all around. They were really cute but I wasn't sure what to make of it all. It was my first donkey encounter! But I think I like those little fellas, they sure seemed to like me!
Then we went home and mom set out the sprinklers so the flowers would grow.
Next we went for a walk in the park behind our house...
Hiding in the fiddle head ferns!
On the way back we saw another moose, about a year old.
At first he was curious...
Then he got annoyed and told us to back off. So we made a wider path around him and headed home.
On the way home I saw the scariest thing all day...it was black and round and it was moving. I circled around it but it frightened me when it would move and then I would bark at it. I never did figure out what it was because mom called me and I had to go and leave it behind. I hope it's gone when I go by there again.
We checked the flowers and the grandma. Mickey was keeping GM company while we were out and about having a busy day. What a good kitty.
On the 11th Ryker's mom Gracie gave birth to six puppies...and so did his Grandma Kelsey!
Not only that but each had 3 blacks and 3 blue merles, AND each girl also had two boys and four girls!!!
wow!
Here is Gracie with her 2nd litter. Isn't she just glowing with pride and happiness. We got to name the pup that was born in Ryker's birth order, an adorable Blue Merle girl with a big white collar. Her name is Chena , after the Hot Springs in Alaska.
What a little cutie she is : ) Can't wait to see those eyes open up.
And here is Grandma Kelsey with what will be her last litter. She sure doesn't look like a Grandmother! What a beautiful girl.
Great job ladies! Makes me wish we could have another ...
But I have my hands full with Ryker and the 5 cats for now. I will have to be satisfied watching these pups grow via pictures for the next 8 weeks!
