CHRISTMAS VILLAGE 2014

Hello Everybody!  Are you ready to see the new Gingerbread Christmas Village my Uncle Joe made this year?  I sure am.  Hurry up Mama.  He's waiting for us.

Ol' Saint Nick is here again this year too.  He says I had to  be nice most of the year if I want presents.  Uh, oh!

Looks like someone is already looking at the new village.

Naturally, I had to say Merry Christmas to my fans.

This is my Uncle Joe Hickel.  He's the Pastry Chef at the Hotel Captain Cook in Anchorage.  He makes this Gingerbread Village from scratch every year.  It's pretty big, isn't it?  You can see the whole thing on his website at www.captaincookchristmas.com and it even has live camera pictures and a time-lapse video.

Hiya Uncle Joe!  I'm so glad to see you again.

Ready to take a look?

Oh, I'm so excited!  Look at all those houses and little people in there.  It smells delicious too!

Look at this.  These people are buying a Christmas tree.

Oh, so that's Mr. Crickit selling the Christmas trees?  And he comes around every year?

Yeah, I like those trees you put in there.  Did you know I climb trees?

So that's a street lamp, you say?  Hmmm.....

Hahaha, mama, he says it's a street lamp.  It looks like a bone that smells like chocolate to me.  What do you think?

It IS a street lamp?  Wow.  That just blows my mind!

It's amazing that you make all these by hand every year Uncle Joe.  (humm, no wonder you smell so sweet)

Boy this tree smells like chocolate too.  I think I'm gonna take a quick lick.

Mmmmm.....  It tastes delicious . . . oops . . . I knocked over the tree

I hope mama wasn't taking any . . . uh, oh...

It's OK Mama, Uncle Joe fixed it.

We can keep this between us, right Uncle Joe?  Ol' Saint Nick doesn't need to know about about this...

You've done it again, Uncle Joe.  I hereby award you this year's coveted Snooter-Snack Award for Gingerbread Excellence!

Well deserved, Sir, well deserved!

Clap, clap, clap, clap, clap . . .

Yes Sir, I will try my best to be a good dog all next year too.

I love you Uncle Joe.

I can't wait to come back next year!

I want to wish all my blogging friends and family and wonderful Christmas!
