We headed up into the the mountains that look down on our fair city.  It was a crisp fall afternoon, the air smelled of cranberries.

There is nothing better than running wild and free in Alaska!

It is only a 15 minute drive to all this beauty from our house.

Since we were up there it has snowed, and we got a few flakes down at our house on the 19th of October.

Mama says it time for her to put the snow tires on the car.  Winter will be here any day now.  I don't need no stinking snow tires...I'm ready now!

  1. Wow Ryker, we are always stunned by the beauty of your Alaska. You are living the good life.

    Nubbin wiggles,

  2. Our dad has always wanted to visit your grand state. Maybe one day...

  3. More Alaska memories for me, I can't believe I've forgotten how beautiful it is!! When I first came to Alaska it was October 14 (1988) and it was snowing! I'd left Kentucky and it was like 80 and sunny...What a shock for me!! :-)

  4. It sure does look beautiful, but I'm not ready to start thinking about snow! I'll save that for after Christmas!

  5. I have always wanted to travel to Alaska and this is just making me want it SO much more!! Gorgeous!!

  6. Beautiful, beautiful scenery, and photos of course! Do ever run into a bear while dashing around those trees, Ryker?
That's what I'd be worrying about in places like that.(one bad experience as a youngster has scarred/scared me for life)

  7. Fantastic landscape! You sure do live in a beautiful place Ryker. Luv your colorful header shot! Stunning :D

    Waggin at ya,

  8. That was totally gorgeous! Isn't it nice when you can run free like that? My favorite thing in the whole world to do.

  9. These photos are stunning. I can't decide which is my favorite.

  10. What incredible photos! Mom is a terrific photographer. They're all beautiful, but my fav is the last one. It almost looks like a painting!
