Where does all that snow go?

Greetings,
Mama is back up and moving around again.  She has a big post planned for you all this week about her adventure the past 6 months.  She says to Thank all of you for the well wishes, they worked!

For the here and now I wanted to know where does the snow go when they come and plow our street?

Looks like they're building a new mountain!  Out of Snow!!
The city has filled up all its usual places for dumping and has had to lease land from private owners for more dumping space!

I prayed for a bunch of snow this winter and my prayers came true!

Daddy gave this ball away to one of my best friends last night.  I think we need to make a trip to the store and replace it ASAP!  What was he thinking?

Peek -A-Boo, I see you!

Charge!  This light fluffy snow is the best!

Good thing I got 4-paw drive !

Look at me!  Up to my neck in glorious snow and still not touching the ground.

I want mama to send this action shot to all my girlfriends.  Don't I look like an Alaskan dog?

What?  What do you mean we gotta go home?  I was just gettin' warmed up!

Look at me.  This is my sled-dog racing pose.  I think I could win the Iditarod, don't you?

Here ya go mama, you wanna play with the ball for a little bit?  I'm gonna go get something to drink.

  2. So very glad to hear that your mama is doing well. (I meant to reply earlier when I got your comment, and, well....I failed at that). I think of her often.
I think you in Alaska must have got all the snow that much of the lower 48 seems to have missed this year. So I'd be really interested to know how long that mountain of snow lasts. Keep us informed as Spring and Summer come, because I can almost imagine it hanging around until next winter.
We actually got a dusting of snow this morning, but now we are back to rain, rain, rain, and mud, mud, mud.

  3. We wish you guys could send some of that snow to California. We've had very little rain this year and we worry about fires... You get to have SO much fun!! Glad your mom is feeling better :-)

  4. I'd totally forgotten about the 'dumping' of the snow from the trucks...How could I have not remembered that? It looks like we aren't going to get any snow this year, but YOU Ryker should get that new ball for taking such great care of your Mom, who I'm so glad is feeling better!! Take care!!

  5. You must have gotten all the snow this year! We've only had snow three times, and each time it was just a dusting. Not that I'm complaining after last year, but enough to do snow zoomies in would have been nice!

  6. Oh Ryker, I just love to see you playing in the snow. If Bert were here, he would be at my side looking at you too. He loves the snow and has been really jelous of you this year. You got all the great snow.

If he gets to come home from the hospital tomorrow I'll be sure to show him this post.

Please tell Sandy we are sending her healing vibes too.

Take good care of her. OK?

    1. Hi Vickie,
I sure hope Bert makes it home with you. It must be so lonely without him there. Our prayers are with you.

Dad gave Ryker's ball to one of his playmates who fell in love with it. No worries, we will be replacing it soon.

  7. Oh and I meant to ask you why did your dad give away your favorite ball. That has been with you in all your winter pictures. I would feel really bad.

  8. You have so much snow! I haven't seen that much of snow before.

The worst thing is we don't have any snow here at all, not even a little dusting! We only have thunderstorms and rains. : (
