New Years Madness...Do I live in war zone???

New Years Eve started out just great.  Mom gave me raw Ox tails for dinner...man oh man, I have a new favorite food.  Yummy good!

Do I look like I'm blissing out? Well, I was!

Then after that wonderful meal the twins came for a visit...

This is the smaller of the two.

So after all that fun we went for a walk and bombs started going off.  Mom said this is the first year in like 25 years that fireworks are legal in the city limits. The whole city was lit up!  There was so much noise! Loud booms, rat-a-tat- tats, screamers and zingers. I thought we were at war and right in the middle of it.  Stars were falling from the sky!
I was scared.  Mom took me home and gave me some of that nasty Rescue Remedy and held me in the snuggle bed.  After a couple hours it let up and mom gave me a marrow bone.  So everything it fine now and the dog park is awaiting...see ya!             Oh, and Happy New Year!

  1. Happy 2011 to you! I am glad to hear that you made it thur the fireworks, we were also scared of the noise that those things make.

  2. It must be fun to have those big kritters come for a visit! Remind me to show you what the deer did to our neighbors cedar garland...BOL!
    Happy New Year, Ryker!!

    Wyatt and Stanzie

  3. Sounds like you had a great new year!! Ox tail must be yummy :) The twins are adorable.

  4. Oooo fireworks! I luv the colored stars but not the boom booms of the M-80's. I actually missed all of it. Yep slept right through :(

Glad the twins came for a visit! I've been wantin to try Ox tail but Mom hasn't been able to swallow payin the 3.99 a pound they want for it here. Same as goat! Now why would somethin like tail and goat cost so much?! Maybe she'll surprise me one day :)

I did get some deer neck recently though. That was somethin. Came from somebody up in South Carolina in big chunks. Mom took it outside with the cleaver and whacked and hacked at it until I had what sort of looked like steaks. Boy did she make a mess. I still find the occasional piece of meat stuck to the fence BOL!

    Happy New Year to yaz,

  5. Ryker, sounds like you have a great year ahead of you. I bet the light show was pretty. Have a great one!!!!
