Animal Rescue

We have also been in the rescue business. The other day it was a little live mouse the cat brought in alive. Ryker scooped it up in his mouth, saw me and ran outside with it. I made him drop it and it was amazingly alright. We took him into the forest and let him go.
Next was a female robin. brought in alive but a bit stressed! I put her in the hanging flower basket to rest. She sat there for an hour and then flew away. I always feel better when we have a successful rescue!

Frisbee @ the park!

I love to play Frisbee. I'm getting pretty good at catching it in the air too.

Boy, that was a good workout. Mom says I'm not over weight anymore. Now I'm toned and buff!  Here that Emma Rose and Eva   : )

some of the Cat Pack

Here are a few photo's of some of my Cat Pack...this is Cleo and she is the ruler of the house. She is 14 and cranky!
This is Karma, she is sweet and a mighty hunter.  She brings them in alive!
Kosmo was feeling photogenic and hogged the Camera.  He is my humpy cat and very tolerant. Also a mighty hunter!
I love my cat pack. They are cool and bring me all kinds of goodies, alive and dead!

Road Trip

We took a drive up Turnagain Arm heading to a lovely greenhouse call Forget-me-not Nursery in Indian Alaska.

Mom said it was time to leave...pssshhh, I'm not ready yet!

However, it is a very pretty drive to and from the Nursery.  We stopped and saw Mt. goats way up on the peaks with their babies. We saw an eagle and a swan. I got to play in a waterfall and then we stopped at Potter's Marsh and I saw lots of water birds with their young!
Can you see the Canadian goose family in the water above my head?  Here is a closer view...
And the next one is a Grebe with a baby on it's back!
All in all, a pretty cool outing!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

                                                                           JOEY
DADS are special people

Dads are special people
No home should be without,
For every family will agree
They're 'SO NICE TO HAVE ABOUT' -
They are a happy mixture
Of a 'SMALL BOY' and a 'MAN'
And they're very necessary
In every 'FAMILY PLAN'
Sometimes they're most demanding
And stern, and firm and tough
But underneath they're 'soft as silk'
For this is just a 'BLUFF'
But in any kind of trouble
Dad reaches out his hand.
And you can always count on him
To help and understand -
And while we do not praise Dad
as often as we should,
We love him and admire him,
And while that's understood,
It's only fair to emphasize
His importance and his worth -
For if there were no loving Dads
This would be a 'LOVELESS EARTH'.

I am blessed with several Dads. There is Joey my doggy Dad, and Dean my first 9weeks Dad, and Man of the House...my forever Dad.  I love them all and wish them a very Happy Father's Day and may every day be a happy one!

Connor's Lake

Since I've learned to swim mom takes me to the lake more often...
Here I am with Heidi the yellow lab and Lucy the St. Bernard. Lucy doesn't swim but she is so big she could probably walk across the lake!  I am way out there with my stick.
I don't like to get my face wet.  I paddle extra hard to keep high in the water.
Look Mom, both the ball and a stick!

Keep away from children...

It says on the label "Keep away from Children"  but I recommend you keep it away from your dog as well!
Ryker was at my feet as I was doing some paperwork in my office. He had not one but two rawhide bones beside him. I heard him chewing away...then comes this loud PSSSST sound!  Scared both him and me!  Well, you know what he was chewing on.   I called the Vet who said he should be fine and he looked fine except for the chagrined look on his face!
