Bingo!

You all may remember when we rescued a mini Aussie from Animal Control last summer.  We named him Bingo and found him a wonderful home.

He is a snow bird and travels to Nevada for the winters and spends summers up here in Alaska with his brother Adien.

Well, they are back and we all got together for some playtime yesterday!  It was really great to see my little buddy Bingo again.  He will always be Bingo to me even though his new name is Riley.

We had so much fun...

Hello again my friends!!!

I've missed you, little Bro!

We found some balls on the field to play with!

We played a lot of tag football...and just plain tag.

We stopped for a drink...

We played for hours and I didn't want it to end.  But the mamas said we will get together again soon!

Yipppeee!!!

When mama told me Bingo and Adien were back in town I got so excited and fussed all the way to the ballpark!  I love my little buddies!

Mama says she is so very happy for little Bingo/Riley.  He has toned up and is healthy, happy and in a loving home.  Warms the heart!

Oh, and as we were driving away this is what we saw crossing six lanes of traffic...
A young moose!

On another note mama says she is feeling bad because she has been so busy this summer and slow to post and comment on her friends posts as well.  But we are having the best summer weather ever and we have to take advantage of it!  So please forgive us!!!

Vickie from "Bert Did It" came to Alaska!

This is not a Wordless Wednesday today.  It is instead a link to a blogging friends post.  Vickie from the blog  http://bertdidit.blogspot.com/
came up here to Alaska to see the sights and to meet Ryker!  We had a fun time together.  Only thing missing was Bert!  He stayed home in Utah.

We drove up to Flat Top Mt. for a good view of the Anchorage bowl.  We also took a nice stroll around Taku lake.  A friendly beaver even swam up to say hello...

Please check out Bert and Vickie's latest post to see beautiful photos of Alaska and of Ryker taken by Vickie during her stay here and be sure and watch the video!  Lots of Ryker towards the end of the video  ☺

To Vickie...
We had a great time meeting and spending time with you.  Come back soon and bring Bert!
Hugs,
Sandy and Ryker

Summer Glorious Summer!

We have been having such lovely weather the past two weeks!

Sunshine and flowers...

Some nice spots of shade...

Beauty everywhere...

Inside and out...

 But mama says...

That I am the most beautiful of all.

I understand that cuz that is how I feel about her.

Coastal Trail and Westchester Lagoon

Well, it has been a while.  Summer is here even though we didn't have spring.  And I now have blisters on my foot pads from having too much fun!

We spent some time on the Coastal Trail on a windy sunny day.

Look Sophie, I have a Ms Orangie!

Westchester Lagoon  is a waterfowl area.  Here is Papa Mallard.

If you look closely you can make out the babies on the mud below the cat-tails.

This is a shot of the mud flats and Sleeping Lady ( Mt. Susitna ) in the background.

This is looking east across the lagoon.

I got hot running around and decided to take a dip!

It was pretty chilly but felt really good.

What can I say...I can pop up out of the water like the Loc Ness Monster!

I love to get right up close to mama and give a good shake!

Getting a little dizzy!

Can you believe that these ducks were trying to steal my ball...it's true!

Mama has always liked these townhomes on the Lagoon.  She thinks they look very nautical.

On the south side are more modern homes.

And on the home front mama got the garden planted this week.  Every sunny day you will find her out in the yard working on the gardens and flower beds.

The flower baskets have been hung.

And all is well here.  Sorry we were away from Blogland for so long.   But no worries, we are back at it now!
