We had a big meltdown here and this is what our yard looked like last week...
Yuk, not very Alaskan looking. But this week we got a nice dump of fresh, fluffy snow. This was a pretty nice day, sunshine, fresh snow, just a few gusts of wind...

Wow, I just never imagined Anchorage having most of it's snow disappear in January!

He can get pretty frustrated trying to herd that ball!
ReplyDeleteKaren, since the eighties we have had these winds blow in more frequently and do this. I don't like it as it is really hard on the plants and makes for icy driving, not to mention it is just weird not to have snow in winter!

ReplyDeleteDid you have a chinook that caused your snow to melt? Your game of ball looks like a lot of fun, and the pictures were great, but I have a feeling that it didn't last that long--It wouldn't have at our house!! :-)

ReplyDeleteOh yes that does look very strange without the snow, its good that you did get your snow back and that you got to play in the snow with that huge ball, it was fun watching you because our snow has melted here too leaving lots of flooding,maybe there is a snow thief going around? oh yeah you popped that ball, the photos are always so wonderful to look at, you are so very beautiful Ryker!
