T'was a busy day!

I had a very interesting and fun day!  It all started outwith three presents left on the floor by the cats I presume.  Must have been a busy morning for them!

Then mom took me to the Horse Festival down the road and I got to see horses!  Whoa, they are big like moose but more friendly.

Missed a great photo op when I went into the Miniature donkey pen.  Three little donkeys rushed over and sniffed me up and down and all around.  They were really cute but I wasn't sure what to make of it all. It was my first donkey encounter! But I think I like those little fellas, they sure seemed to like me!

Then we went home and mom set out the sprinklers so the flowers would grow.

Next we went for a walk in the park behind our house...

Hiding in the fiddle head ferns!

On the way back we saw another moose, about a year old.

At first he was curious...

Then he got annoyed and told us to back off.  So we made a wider path around him and headed home.

On the way home I saw the scariest thing all day...it was black and round and it was moving. I circled around it but it frightened me when it would move and then I would bark at it. I never did figure out what it was because mom called me and I had to go and leave it behind.  I hope it's gone when I go by there again.

We checked the flowers and the grandma. Mickey was keeping GM company while we were out and about having a busy day.  What a good kitty.

Ryker and the Blustery Day

We have been having a windy week. I don't mind the wind, it fluffs up my fur and gives me a dashing look!  What da ya think?

 Did you say fetch?

Mom said she used to have a rose planted here, it died and so
she filled in the hole.  I think she needs something there so I dug her
a new hole to plant it in. She is going to the Greenhouse later today
to get a lilac  : )    See, I really am a Landscaper!

Mom said she used to have a perfect lawn and yard.  Not anymore! He He, she has a Mini Aussie instead!
But she says she wouldn't trade me for a million perfect yards!!!

Belated Mother's Day

Ryker has new half siblings!

On the 11th Ryker's mom Gracie gave birth to six puppies...and so did his Grandma Kelsey!
Not only that but each had 3 blacks and 3 blue merles, AND each girl also had two boys and four girls!!!
wow!

Here is Gracie with her 2nd litter. Isn't she just glowing with pride and happiness.  We got to name the pup that was born in Ryker's birth order, an adorable Blue Merle girl with a big white collar. Her name is Chena , after the Hot Springs in Alaska.
What a little cutie she is  : )   Can't wait to see those eyes open up.

And here is Grandma Kelsey with what will be her last litter.  She sure doesn't look like a Grandmother! What a beautiful girl.

Great job ladies! Makes me wish we could have another ...
But I have my hands full with Ryker and the 5 cats for now. I will have to be satisfied watching these pups grow via pictures for the next 8 weeks!

Spring has Sprung

The mud is drying up, snow is gone and little flowers are coming forth...
 It is Spring in Alaska!

I am the best little helper!     I will  help mom clear out the flower beds today...  We won't remind her of the holes I dug in the other beds!

Mom took me bike riding, well it was more like running if you ask me. My paw pads are sore! Maybe we better take this new activity a little slower?  But check out this gizmo mom got for her bike...pretty cool!

It is that black J loop bar attached under the seat, it has a spring and the rope clip attaches to my collar or harness. That way when I see a squirrel I don't pull her off her bike or run into traffic!  It is called a Springer Bicycle Attachment and she bought it on-line.
