I GOTS SOME BAD BOY IN ME ! Insipred by Dropcam

Normally I'm a pretty good dog. I'm well trained and know a bunch of tricks. I am a Service and a Therapy Dog so I know my stuff.  But I also have a wild streak, especially when it comes to counter surfing.

 This was the time that I snagged a big container of homemade vegetable soup that mama had cooling on the counter.  Good thing it was not still super hot.  It smelled sooo good...

And tasted even better!

Mama loves to tell the story of when I was 8 months old and found a package on the front porch around Christmas time.  With my expert sniffer I detected food and worked my way through the cardboard box, a cellophane wrapper, into a round tin and then through another cellophane wrapper, then dove into a delectable FRUITCAKE!  Not just any fruitcake mind you...but a special apricot and pecan fruitcake from the Collin Street Bakery in TX.  It was a big cake and I was only able too eat 3/4th of it.  

Mama says she found the rest of it in the side yard after the big thaw.  I was pooping orange nut filled delights for a week!

So yes, I have my weakness and a nose for goodies.  I watch my daddy eat yummy things and he usually shares a little with me, I call it "doggy tax".  If he's rude and doesn't share I wait till he goes to bed and then sneak into his trash can to check out the wrappers.
  Good thing both my parents have a sense of humor!

How to make snowballs...

This is my recipe for making snowballs...

One heaping scoop of snow surfing

A dash of  exuberance

Two shakes of Wiggle Butt Action!

And just enough deep snow plowin'

Mix well, no need to shake.

And there you have it! A big batch of snowballs!

 Oops, made a double batch!

Top with a nice warm shower afterwards and you end up with one tired pup!

No dogs were harmed in the making of this recipe, just a minor red spot on the tummy from the weight of those balls!  All better now!  It has gotten colder that the snow is no longer sticking.  Peoples have suggested Pam spray, a sweater and something called showsheen to prevent snowballs...just a FYI.

Happy 2014!

We want to wish all our friends and family the very best in 2014!

We have had some cold weather here lately, below zero and all that!  Mama says she can tell just how cold it is by how close the pee spots get to the back door! ha ha

K9 Aquatics is the best!!!  They have a big ole pool for dogs to swim in...

and a bath and dryer station for when your done.

I had such a good time there.

Who ever thought of this is the BOMB!

Now that I've done my orientation I can do open swims and group swims or what ever I want.  I just can't pee in the pool!

After my swim mama gave me a bath and used a special blow-dryer on me.  Good thing she gave me lots of treats because I don't really like this part and the dryer was new to me.  But if that's what it takes to swim here I'm on board!

I have a feeling 2014 is gonna be a great year!

The joys of Christmas!

I hope all my friends had a very Merry Christmas!

Oh Boy, Santa was good to me again this year.  I was a good dog!

Just look at all the presents under the tree...and I think they are all for me!

While mama is enjoying her eggnog I'm a gonna open my presents!  Oh, and this is special eggnog that is made by very good friends of hers.  It would not be Christmas without Ron & Nancy's eggnog!  Mama says it "packs a punch"!

Oh looky, my friend Ty gave me a squeaky Moose!  I have not had a squeaky toy in forever. Mama says I used to tear the squeaker out of all my toys so she stopped bringing them home to me.

Thank You Ty, I will try to restrain myself and treat it with love.

How did he know I love moose?

Santa brought me a Wooly Ball!  I loves wool...and sheep...

I had to give it a trial run outside...

It passed the test...it's a keeper!!!

It's nice and soft on the teeth!

Santa also got me my favorite Frisbee!  It glows in the Alaskan dark winters and is also soft on the teeth!  I like to take good care of my toothers.

Santa brought the kitties some presents too (not sure why).

They had bunches of fun playing with their catnip mice and little wooly ball.

I rather liked tha little wooly ball and stole it away for myself...now that I have slobbered all over it they won't want it!

So as you can tell we had a howling good time this Christmas!

But let us not forget the reason for the season.  Love, forgive, be kind and giving.

Give Thanks and pray for those in need.
